Making chocolate.. om nom nom! My hubby does almost all the cooking! Haha! And I won't argue that sewing wipes can get seriously tedious after a while. Especially when your eyes start crossing and you realize you have absolutely no idea what stitch you're on or what you were doing or how to do it. Totally time for a break then..
My blog is at http://thosecrazycrunchies.blogspot.com :) I'm a kinda crazy advocate but as I say, you're welcome to ignore whatever doesn't interest you and post like crazy on whatever does! I love new followers! <3

Thanks, refessati! Yeah, I haven't noticed any smell either in the pail or after I've washed them. I'm trying to see what I can do for cleaning that doesn't involve buying yet another name-brand product. I know that company is a good one, but I'm trying to keep it simple. And the reason I bought the wipes as opposed to making them is that I don't sew. Actually, sewing irritates me. LOL! I'll stick to making chocolate! : ) So, yeah, I hear you and your idea is a good one. What's your blog?

Hi from a mom who has used cloth diapers and wipes on her youngest! If you're looking for a more friendly alternative to bleach, check out Bac-Out cleansers. http://www.bi-o-kleen.com/general.htm A lot of moms use these on their diapers and wipes, but it can be kind of tough on super-sensitive skin (my youngest happens to have said super-sensitive skin, so this is out for us). However, I would actually recommend personally against soaking your wipes in vinegar (you mentioned that you have them in a vinegar solution in your wet pail); I've noticed that it can leave quite the scent behind! But if the smell doesn't bother you, or if you don't have that lovely odor left after washing, you're doing it right I'd suppose! :P
Be aware that if you'd like, you can go salvage old baby receiving blankets from Salvation Army or garage sales, cut them up, and stitch the edges if you'd like an even more cost-effective method. :) This is what I've done, and it has been a great alternative to having a bunch of unused receiving blankets hanging around, doing nothing but taking up space!
Feel free to email me if you want to swap info - skiefangor[at]gmail[dot]com :) I've an organic/self-sustaining blog you might find interesting, but I'm also an advocate on a few other issues I post about that may not interest you. :P
And a big thanks in a roundabout way to my sister-in-law for getting me here!

Brilliant. As a human Being, not only a human being, I value the truth in your words. Bravo for taking a stand that affirms your beliefs.
